And Then...

After discovering the location of Earth's remaining humans, The Mushrooms launched a massive attack. Unfortunately (for The Mushrooms) the human population was too large to be destroyed at once, and mushroom forces were very weak when retreating. As a solution, the Imperial Cruiser and Space Laser were built. The Imperial Cruiser was a huge space ship with more weapons than the rest of The Mushrooms' army combined. The Space Laser was a laser the size of Rhode Island floating in low earth orbit. But Smith hijacked the Space Laser and fired it at the Imperial Cruiser. (It was later recaptured) After multiple failures, Shroom got impatient, and with "If you want something done right you have to do it yourself," he left The Mushroom Zone and came to Earth. Something about Earth's atmosphere made Shroom grow from his already huge 100 feet to 500 feet. Then he marched to New York City, one of the most populated cities left standing. After destroying New York, Shroom set off for Chicago.

Meanwhile, the humans decided to take this chance to attack The Mushroom Zone while Shroom was busy. During their 2,000 years in hiding, their numbers had increased to 10,000. While attacking, their sensors picked up a very mushroomish (a technical term) object in the vicinity of Shroom's temple. They discovered a huge building with literally millions of guards. During the battle to control the building, the humans lost half of their troops. Luckily, they had their Holo-Projector with them, so they eventually wiped out all of the guards. The building had no doors, so everyone who had a Blast-o-Matic set it to "High" to destroy the building. After a few weeks of Blast-o-Maticing (another technical term) the building, they finally broke through. Inside was a small table with a pine tree shaped crystal sitting on it. Commander picked it up and said, "This could be the key to defeating Shroom," (because that's what mushroomish means), "We should take it back to base to study it." He handed it to Reeman, who whined about it being to heavy and handed it to Ericson. On their way out, Ericson tripped over his own feet and dropped the crystal. It shattered into a million pieces. "Ericson, you fool!" yelled Commander, "does anyone have any super glue?"

The humans did not realize that the crystal that they had just destroyed was The Crystal of Shroom, which was somehow connected with his size, power, and existence. When the crystal was destroyed, Shroom burst into flame, fell to the ground, and exploded.

Parts of him went flying as far as the Space Laser, which was aimed at the humans base camp but was misaimed when it was hit. Instead, it blew The Mushrooms' base camp into billions of postage stamp sized pieces. When The Mushrooms heard of Shroom's destruction, they were shocked. Shocked enough not to notice when every mushroom on Earth was destroyed. The Mushroom Portals and all other Mushroom Made objects were eliminated.

The Earth was finally free of the title "The Mushroom Empire". But what happened to the humans who were left? Read on.
